Blues in the Nights lights up the Fox!

Eric Fitzgerald from OnStage Colorado writes, “Making it come alive, under the direction of Terrell Davis, are four immensely gifted blues singers/performers – Alicia “Lisa” Young, Yasmine Emani Hunter, Steph Holmbo, and Leonard Barrett. Because of their brilliant interpretation of the blues and singing no fewer than 26 songs, Blues in the Night registers as a near-seismic event on East Colfax Avenue.

Hundred Days reviews!

Onstage Colorado says “Runner Francisco and Steph Holmbo are superb these roles.”

Denver Post’s articles expresses ““Hundred Days” presents love as a confessional concert — melancholy and joyous — thanks to a fine ensemble” and specifically, “ Steph Holmbo’s Abigail is a vibrant over-sharer.”

Denver Theatre Perspectives says “The cast are absolutely rock stars. Runner Francisco, Shaun, and Steph Holumbo, Abigail, make a couple so adorable that some may call them vomit worthy. They create a natural chemistry through their songs and scenes that almost make you wonder if they are a couple in real life. The blend of their voices, along with Nicole DeBree and William “Skip” Lynch are heavenly.”

reviews for “and again.”

“Holmbo presides over a welcoming, contemporary interpretation of the lesser-known myth of Echo. (She was a chatty mountain nymph who drew the attraction of Zeus and was therefore cursed to silence by his wife.) The setting invites the audience's investment in a way no traditional indoor theatre studio space ever could. There’s just something different watching a woman pour wine into your glass and her guts into your lap while you and nine other “new friends waiting to happen” are taking it all in like neighbors sitting around a tree with lights strung down its trunk. Suddenly a backyard window is powerfully transformed into an old-school storytelling scrim.”

Bright Star Reviews!

The reviews are in and people are loving the show and loving Steph!

Broadway World says, “standouts include a charming Steph Holmbo as Billy's hometown beau Margo.” and for the show, “Bright Star could stand alone with a great score, but Arvada Center's production makes it dazzle on every level.”

OnStage Colorado says Bright Star hits all the marks and “Steph Holmbo, as the left-behind, but ever-loyal Margo, brought a strength to the role that prevented the lovelorn character from being a limp stereotype.”

Tom Ford from Colorado Theatre Reviews says, “Steph Holmbo is charming as Billy’s local girlfriend, Margo.” and for his experience of the show as a whole “I cannot accurately explain my attraction to this wonderful show.  The music is excellent.  The performances are believable.”
